LAS VEGAS (May 5, 2026) Las Vegas was named host city for the MICHELIN Guide Southwest Ceremony, set to take place on Wednesday, Aug. 26 at Fontainebleau Las Vegas. The special event will commemorate the first-ever Southwest Guide, recognizing the innovative restaurants and superior talent found throughout the region.
Las Vegas officials, resort executives and members of the culinary community came together today to celebrate the announcement and highlight the incredible dining evolution the city has undergone since 2009, the last time MICHELIN reviewed the destination.
“The MICHELIN Guide Ceremony is synonymous with excellence and prestige, recognizing restaurants that are at the top of their craft and shape each city’s culinary landscape. The Guide’s anonymous Inspectors are continuing to make reservations and scout for culinary gems throughout Las Vegas and the broader Southwest region including Nevada, Arizona, New Mexico and Utah. Chefs will be invited to discover whether their restaurants have received a MICHELIN Star or another MICHELIN Guide distinction on Wednesday, Aug. 26.
