Las Vegas Celebrates Mexican Independence Day, Hispanic Heritage Month with Festive Lineup of Beats, Bites and Bold Events

Through mid-October, Las Vegas will be energized with the sights, sounds and flavors of Hispanic Heritage Month – offering vibrant entertainment, spirited events, festive cuisines and captivating special displays.

World-class entertainers, musicians and comedians will deliver spectacular performances, showcasing what makes Las Vegas the premier destination to celebrate Mexican Independence Day and Hispanic Heritage Month.

Here is a look at how the destination will celebrate:

Displays and Special Events

  • Undisputed super middleweight champion Canelo Alvarez faces undefeated, three-division king Terence “Bud” Crawford in a historic clash at Allegiant Stadium on Saturday, Sept. 13.
  • Grand Canal Shoppes inside The Venetian Resort Las Vegas will return its vibrant photo moment, Papel Picado, to the area near Smith & Wollensky, where guests will be able to snap photos under the traditional Mexican folk-art display through Tuesday, Sept. 30.  
  • SAHARA Las Vegas will host a weekend-long celebration from Thursday, Sept. 11 through Monday, Sept. 15, with performances by La Casetera on Thursday, Sept. 11 and Friday, Sept. 12; Rogelio Ramos + Pipirín on Saturday, Sept. 13; Elias Medina on Saturday, Sept. 13; Alex Fernández on Sunday, Sept. 14; Joe & Moy on Monday, Sept. 15; and Pur de Patos on Monday, Sept. 15.  
  • Zouk Group and Zamna Festival are delivering a high-energy electronic music experience at Zouk Nightclub and Ayu Dayclub at Resorts World Las Vegas during Mexican Independence Day and Fight Weekend. Performances from acclaimed artists will take place throughout the weekend, including Jan Blomqvist, Layla Benitez, SCRIPT and L’CORE at Zouk Nightclub on Thursday, Sept. 11; Tom & Collins, Sistek, Raffa Guido and L’CORE on Friday, Sept. 12 at Ayu Dayclub; Meduza and EstoVega on Saturday, Sept. 13 at Ayu Dayclub; and many more throughout the weekend.
     
  • Resorts World Las Vegas will host the Rooftop Salsa Fiesta at Rose Rooftop on Friday, Sept. 12, which will feature a lively mariachi-led procession to the rooftop, salsa dancing, live music, cocktails and stunning Las Vegas Strip views.  
  • Cabo Wabo Cantina at Miracle Mile Shops at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino will transform its patio into a Mexican Independence Day fiesta on Friday, Sept. 12 and Saturday, Sept. 13 with specialty cocktails, lively beats and flavorful dishes in a high-energy setting.
     
  • “You Are Beautiful/Tu Eres Hermosa” will return to Fashion Show Las Vegas from Friday, Sept. 12 through Wednesday, Oct. 15. This inspirational exhibit, created by Chicago artist Matthew Hoffman, features Spanish and English sayings and affirmations with tags modeled after traditional papel picado banners.  
     
  • Guests will enjoy complimentary live performances from a mariachi band and folkloric dancers near The Wishing Tree at Grand Canal Shoppes inside The Venetian Resort Las Vegas from Friday, Sept. 12 through Tuesday, Sept. 16.
  • Game On and the newly opened Leticia’s Cocina & Cantina at Boulder Station will host a Mexican Independence Day celebration including mariachi entertainment, featured cocktails, and authentic specials alongside the fight inside Game On on Saturday, Sept 13.   
  • Fashion Show Las Vegas will host a Mexican Independence Day Celebration on Saturday, Sept. 13, which will include live entertainment, mariachi music, traditional dance performances, and a call and response contest.
  • Las Vegas North Premium Outlets is celebrating Mexican Independence Day from Saturday, Sept. 13 through Tuesday, Sept. 16 with a series of exciting activations, including live performances by a mariachi band and folklórico dancers throughout the center and special offers.
  • St. Mark’s Square at the Grand Canal Shoppes will host its annual El Grito ceremony on Monday, Sept. 15 with Jesús López, announcer of the NHL Vegas Golden Knights, acting as master of ceremonies. The ceremony will feature traditional mariachi performances, folkloric dancers and special dining offerings.

  • Bomba Estéreo + Rawayana: Astropical Tour 2025 plays Brooklyn Bowl on Wednesday, Sept. 10.
  • Carlos Santana plays House of Blues at Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino on Wednesday, Sept. 17; Thursday, Sept. 18; Saturday, Sept. 20; Sunday, Sept. 21; Wednesday, Sept. 24; Thursday, Sept. 25; Saturday, Sept. 27; Sunday, Sept. 28.

Celebrated Cuisines

  • Casa Playa at Wynn Las Vegas, a coastal Mexican restaurant focusing on fresh seafood, seasonal ingredients and a house-made masa program with a creative menu, is designed to be family-style, with many interactive large-format dishes that build on each other.
  • El Segundo Sol at the Fashion Show Mall brings the relaxed allure of Tulum and the timeless charm of Mexican haciendas to the Las Vegas Strip with a menu that represents Mexico’s vibrant cuisine and pays homage to the wide range of flavors and ingredients.
  • Milpa, a vibrant, contemporary Mexican café, utilizes high-quality ingredients and unique creations with a healthy twist has become known as a top taco spot in Las Vegas.
  • Cañonita at The Venetian Resort Las Vegas fuses authentic Mexican heritage and contemporary innovation together in dishes like street tacos, crisp salads and more soulful, scratch-made Mexican recipes by chef Daniel Marquez.
  • VIVA! at Resorts World Las Vegas combines chef Ray Garcia’s signature Mexican-inspired culinary style and LA roots in a celebration of life through food, drinks and fun.

Culinary and Cocktail Specials

  • Throughout September, Station Casinos will feature multiple food and beverage specials including $1.99 frozen Margaritas available daily at Station Casinos’ bars.  
  • Virgin Hotels Las Vegas is offering a new “555 Deal” through Sept. 30, which offers guests the opportunity to indulge in $5 tacos, toast with $5 tequila specials and enjoy $5 live blackjack tables in honor of Mexican Independence Day.
  • Carversteak at Resorts World Las Vegas is celebrating with a specialty limited-time menu inspired by the vibrant flavors of Mexico, which includes Ahi Tuna Tostadas, Tamale with Rajas, Surf ’n’ Turf, Gateaux “Fresas con Crema” and more from Tuesday, Sept. 9 through Monday, Sept. 15.
  • Allē Lounge on 66 at Resorts World Las Vegas will host a mixology event from Friday, Sept. 12 through Sunday, Sept. 14 with Casa Dragones and Licorería Limantour – one of Mexico City’s acclaimed World’s 50 Best Bars.
  • The Forum Shops at Caesars Palace has over 30 boutiques hosting activations and celebrations, including DJs, gifts with purchase, tequila tastings, special merchandise and artist activations, from Friday, Sept. 12 through Tuesday, Sept. 16. Additionally, there will be mariachis and folkloric dancers throughout the property at various times from Saturday, Sept. 13 through Tuesday, Sept. 16.
  • Azul at Fontainebleau Las Vegas will host The Spirit of Mexico: Tequila Tasting with Tequila Casa Dragones which will feature award-winning sipping tequilas, stories about their rich heritage, and passed canapés curated by Chef Chanthone Vang on Tuesday, Sept. 16. 
  • Salad Jack’s at Resorts World Las Vegas will debut a limited-time menu featuring flavorful street-style favorites such as elotes, paletas and chicharrónes on Saturday, Sept. 13 and Sunday, Sept. 14.
  • ¡VIVA! at Resorts World Las Vegas will host brunches and themed events throughout the weekend, including a “Party Brunch” with live mariachi entertainment on Saturday, Sept. 13 and “All Day Taco Tuesday” on Tuesday, Sept. 16, with music from a live DJ.
