MGM Resorts NBA Summer League 2021 Returns to Las Vegas in August
The NBA recently announced the competition structure for the MGM Resorts NBA Summer League 2021, which will take place Aug. 8-17 at the Thomas & Mack Center and Cox Pavilion on the campus of the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. The 16th annual MGM Resorts NBA Summer League will feature all 30 NBA teams playing five games apiece during the 10-day, 75-game event. After every team plays four games, the two teams with the best records from the first four games will meet in the Championship Game on Aug. 17. Resorts World Las Vegas, the Strip’s highly anticipated new resort, officially opened its doors to the public on June 24.

  • Marigold officially opened at Resorts World Las Vegas, treating guests to a lineup of classic American staples in a retro space inspired by the iconography of vintage Las Vegas and Palm Springs. The concept, which was developed by Las Vegas-based Gen3 Hospitality, also features a sister concept called Goldies, which will offer homemade treats such as cookies and pies as well as grab-and-go breakfast and lunch options.   • Carver Road Hospitality will introduce Carversteak at Resorts World Las Vegas this December, the hospitality company’s first concept to be announced since launching in fall 2020.   • Resorts World Las Vegas announced it will debut the first and only pop-up shop of Kardashian Kloset, the Kardashian-Jenner e-commerce retail resale site. Cirque du Soleil Entertainment Group announces additional reopening plans
Cirque du Soleil Entertainment Group confirmed the long-awaited return of additional resident shows. After announcing the reopening of two of its most iconic shows in Las Vegas, “O” and Mystère, Cirque du Soleil is thrilled to confirm The Beatles LOVE, a Cirque du Soleil creation and co-production with Apple Corps Ltd., will reopen at The Mirage on Aug. 26, 2021. 2021 World Series of Poker Daily Event Schedule Finalized
The World Series of Poker® (WSOP®) – the richest, most prestigious and longest-running poker series – has finalized its daily event schedule for 2021. Doors for the event open on Sept. 30 at the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas with non-stop action through the event’s conclusion prior to the Thanksgiving holiday on Nov. 23. Online and in-person registration will open in August. WSOP is roaring back in 2021 with the much-anticipated $10,000 No-Limit Hold’em World Championship, better known as the “Main Event”, which in 2019 eclipsed 8,000 entrants for only the second time in history. Laughlin Event Center Expands Concert Schedule with Roger Daltrey, Billy Idol/Steve Stevens (acoustic) and Kid Rock

LVMS to Open to Full Capacity for South Point 400 Weekend
September’s NASCAR Weekend in Las Vegas will run with no capacity restrictions, Las Vegas Motor Speedway (LVMS) officials recently announced. In accordance with the decision by the state of Nevada and Clark County to lift all restrictions that went into effect June 1, LVMS plans to have all seats available for the September 23-26 weekend that is headlined by the South Point 400. The four-day weekend kicks off on Sept. 23 with the Star Nursery 150 ARCA Menards Series West event at the Bullring. The action shifts to the superspeedway on Sept. 24 for the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series event followed by the Alsco 302 NASCAR Xfinity Series race on Sept. 25. Concacaf Gold Cup Final
Concacaf has announced that the Final of the 2021 Concacaf Gold Cup – the 16th edition of the region’s flagship men’s international competition, has been awarded to Las Vegas and Allegiant Stadium, the destination’s newest state-of-the-art sports venue. The championship match on Aug. 1 will crown the best men’s national team in the Concacaf region. Las Vegas Philharmonic Announces 21/22 Season
Las Vegas Philharmonic (LVP) and Music Director Donato Cabrera recently announced the 2021-22 concert season, and a return to Reynolds Hall at The Smith Center for the Performing Arts. Big West Basketball Championship Moving to Dollar Loan Center
The Big West recently announced a new multi-year agreement to bring the Big West Basketball Championships to the Dollar Loan Center in Henderson, NV, beginning in March of 2022. The 2022 Big West Basketball Championships will christen the arena as its first publicly ticketed event. The five-day tournament will run March 8-12 featuring 10 women’s and 10 men’s teams vying for conference championships and automatic bids to the NCAA Division I Men’s and Women’s Basketball Championships.
