Tours & Events
  • Art in the Park (Oct. 5-6): Celebrating its 56th year, Boulder City’s Art in the Park festival will feature more than 300 artists to Bicentennial Park, Wilbur Square and North and South Escalante Parks, Oct. 5-6 from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. daily. The event is one of the largest juried art festivals in the Southwest, with all proceeds benefitting the non-profit Boulder City Hospital Foundation. More than 100,000 visitors are expected to explore the historic downtown area and peruse the work of artists in fine art and crafts.
  • Tour The Hoover Dam: Close to one million visitors annually take a tour of The Hoover Dam with hundreds of thousands more crossing between the Arizona and Nevada border over the dam each year. The Hoover Dam was built during the Great Depression to tame the Colorado River. In less than five years, in a harsh and barren land, the largest dam of its time was built. Now, the Hoover Dam stands as a National Historic Landmark and has been rated by the American Society of Civil Engineers as one of America's Seven Modern Civil Engineering Wonders. The dam is open to the public from 5 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily, and offers powerplant tours from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Art Mural Walking Tour: To experience Boulder City’s eclectic art scene, all you have to do is take a leisurely walk around town. Check out the unique sculptures and murals with a downloadable map that highlights pieces by Connie Burnett Ferraro and Patty Sullivan.
