On the Strip and off, the best Las Vegas restaurants are inspiring food-loving tourists to make reservations—and mark their calendars. Within a decade, Las Vegas has redefined the culinary and wine experience by offering the most comprehensive collection of celebrity chefs, world-class restaurants and Master Sommeliers.
 
Southern Nevada is home to more than 5,000 general restaurants and 375 buffets. These numbers are just a small part of the overall food & beverage culture in the region and do not account for the thousands of snack bars, take-out venues and drinking establishments, which also populate the area.
 
Bon Appétit magazine, a leading authority in the culinary world, cemented Las Vegas’ place among U.S. dining capitals by declaring the destination as one of the nation’s top five restaurant cities. In fact, the publication has partnered with Las Vegas and the destination’s resorts, to host an annual epicurean event called Vegas Uncork’d by Bon Appétit. The four-day event in the spring provides an intimate connection with legendary chefs, along with grand tastings of their delectable creations. The festival was also named the #1 food festival in the country by readers of USA Today and celebrated its 13th anniversary this year.
 
For one week each year, more than 100 of Las Vegas’ fine dining establishments participate in the city’s annual Restaurant Week. Working to end hunger in southern Nevada, a portion of all Restaurant Week sales benefit Three Square Food Bank. Participating restaurants offer prix-fixe menus from three-tiered price points. In addition to the special menus, many of the city’s resorts offer Restaurant Week diners a chance to extend their experience beyond world-class cuisine by coupling their stay with one-of-a-kind entertainment, spa and overnight packages.
 
Las Vegas continues to be recognized year after year for its quality restaurants and wine scene. In 2016, Las Vegas was recently named one of the Top 10 Wine Destinations by Wine Enthusiast Magazine. In 2018, Las Vegas AAA Five Diamond award-winning restaurants include: Restaurant Guy Savoy at Caesars Palace, Joël Robuchon at MGM Grand Hotel & Casino, Twist at Mandarin Oriental, Las Vegas and Picasso and Le Cirque at Bellagio. Representing the upper echelon of the hospitality industry, AAA Five Diamond Award winners make up less than one-half percent of nearly 31,000 AAA-approved properties throughout the United States, Canada, Mexico and the Caribbean.  Additionally, Las Vegas is home to 22 AAA Four Diamond Award winners and the restaurants can be found throughout the Strip.

The Slanted Door, a legendary San Francisco restaurant, will open its first location outside of California at The Forum Shops at Caesars Palace in 2020. The Vietnamese restaurant will offer entrees that include lemongrass ribeye steak, organic chicken clay pot and caramelized shrimp and hodo soy beanery organic tofu.
 
Wynn Las Vegas will debut a contemporary Mexican restaurant that will replace Andreas. The restaurant is an exclusive partnership with Enrique Olvera, Daniela Soto-Innes and Santiago Perez, the team behind Cosme and Alta in New York City. The restaurant is expected to open in the first quarter of 2020.
 
Wynn Las Vegas made a dramatic expansion to its culinary portfolio with the announcement of its partnership with acclaimed chef Thomas Keller and his collection of restaurants that include famed Bouchon, The French Laundry, Per Se, The Surf Club Restaurant and TAK Room. Taking over the space previously occupied by The Country Club, the new venture is expected to open in the fall of 2020.
 
Chef David Chang will introduce a new concept, Majordōmo Meat & Fish at The Palazzo Las Vegas in Fall of 2019. His second Las Vegas restaurant will feature local ingredients inspired by the energy of the destination, as well as replicate the DNA of his Los Angeles sister restaurant.
 
Set to debut at Excalibur in October, Vagabond will offer fun in the form of a familiar American menu, numerous draft options and live entertainment. The high-energy but casual atmosphere encourages fans of all kinds to kick back, relax and have a good time enjoying bar food classics or watching their favorite sporting events on one of their eighteen hi-def television screens.
 
Coming to Palms ICEBAR, a brand-new project created by Noel Bowman of Minus5 Ice experience, will open this November at the LINQ Promenade. Replacing Sprinkles Cupcakes next to the Promenade’s fountain, ICEBAR will offer the unforgettable frozen ambience and frosty cocktails.
 
 
What’s New?
 
As the dining scene continues to evolve in Las Vegas, new restaurants continue to open nearly every month, providing unique experiences for repeat visitors. Some of the many new restaurants include the following:
 
Tim Ho Wan, the renowned Hong Kong dim-sum restaurant, brings Michelin starred authentic modern Chinese dim sum to the Palms. The 5,055 square foot restaurant will be part of the resort’s west casino expansion.
 
Chef Angelo Auriana & Restaurateur Matteo Ferdinandi bring their second restaurant to Las Vegas with Sixth + Mill Ristorante located at The Venetian Las Vegas. The menu includes Neapolitan-style pizza, pasta and seasonal plates.
 
Popular gourmet fried-chicken eatery known for one-of-a-kind menu items, The Crack Shack, opened its doors at Park MGM on Aug. 11, offering guests decadent sandwiches and a fun vibe. Created by founder Michael Rosen and Top Chef winner Richard Blais, The Crack Shack serves up a chef-driven menu with a focus on the duo’s shared passion for all things chicken and eggs.
 
Bazaar Meat by José Andrés launched its signature Dessert Graffiti at SAHARA Las Vegas. Designed to be shared by four to six guests, each plate is s artfully presented tableside, featuring more than a dozen bites. Dessert Graffiti combines the culinary and visual arts with philanthropy; each monthly iteration of the dessert is inspired by a different cause, with a portion of profits benefitting a corresponding charity.
 
Ambra Italian Kitchen + Bar is officially dishing up delicious food, refreshing cocktails and good vibes nightly at MGM Grand Hotel and Casino. The Strip’s newest restaurant blends classic Italian fare and craft cocktails with its colorful surroundings, creating a fun and welcoming dining experience. Ambra’s menu takes time-honored classics to the next level with vibrant flavors, avant-garde recipes and interactive presentations.
 
Mama Rabbit Bar opened this August at Park MGM and offers the most extensive collection of mezcal and tequila. Mama Rabbit is an ode to Oaxacan culture curated by James Beard Award-winning mezcalera Bricia Lopez. Guests can expect three distinct environments to set the mood for their night. A double-sided bar serves walk-up guests daily, while the sophisticated taverna will treat guests to relaxed surroundings. The lounge, complete with luxe banquettes and an elaborately decorated fireplace, and feature a robust lineup of entertainment that transitions the mood of the venue throughout the evening.
 
Trustworthy Brewing Co. & BBQ is now open at the Grand Canal Shoppes at The Palazzo. As the only brewery on the Las Vegas Strip to focus on artisanal batch beers, the brewery is pouring award-winning West Coast-inspired beers brewed onsite as well as from their Burbank brewery, along with a full bar.
 
The latest evolution of gaming and entertainment is set to debut with the opening of Re:Match at The LINQ Hotel + Experience. Enhancing the traditional casino lounge and bar experience, Re:Match features an indoor/outdoor setting directly on the famed Las Vegas Strip and is designed for guests to engage and interact with the environment. With 27 touch screens that create a cohesive underwater world, Re:Match is a first-of-its-kind marvel.
 
This May, Delmonico Steakhouse at The Venetian Resort celebrates 20 years of distinguished dining. The celebrations highlight some of the restaurants most beloved dishes including house cured tasso and smoked mushroom cream over angel hair pasta; crab mirliton stuffed Gulf oysters with bearnaise sauce; BBQ salmon with andouille potato hash homemade Worcestershire sauce and fried onion crust; bananas foster ice cream pie; and lemon icebox pie with strawberry coulis.
 
Several new highly anticipated restaurants have opened at Palms Casino Resort. Shark, a fish restaurant by Bobby Flay features an extensive sushi and raw bar. The menu is heavily influenced by ingredients from South America, Mexico and the Mediterranean. Mabel’s BBQ comes to Las Vegas from Cleveland, from acclaimed Chef Michael Symon. The restaurant features a vibrant, high-energy feel and features barbecue favorites like smoked brisket and pork belly. Also located at Mabel’s is a secret supper club called Sara’s, featuring a menu of French American dishes. The secret location is open Wednesday through Sunday from 5:30-11:30 p.m. Vetri Cucina is the first expansion of Marc Vetri’s Philadelphia-based restaurant and features regional antipasti, pasta, meat, fish and dolci offerings. The Las Vegas Italian kitchen is helmed by Josh Bianchi, a veteran of the Vegas dining scene.
 
Caesars Palace and Lisa Vanderpump recently opened Vanderpump Cocktail Garden. The cocktail garden features an indoor patio as well as a lounge area to enjoy craft cocktails, Vanderpump branded Sangria and Rosé, as well as a carefully selected wine list. Small bites are also available.
 
Located in The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas, The Barbershop Cuts & Cocktails is a new modern, experiential barbershop and speakeasy where guests can kick back in a barber’s chair for a classic cut, beard trim or straight razor shave while enjoying a complimentary selection of fine-aged whiskeys and beer available for pour. In the evening, The Barbershop Cuts & Cocktails takes on a different persona. Behind the unassuming janitor’s door in The Barbershop is a swanky hideaway bar that harkens back to the Prohibition-era featuring weekly DJ sets.
 
Maxie’s at The LINQ Promenade is located next to the High Roller observation wheel, the menu features ostentatious breakfast and lunch items such as cotton candy pancakes, peanut butter and jelly tacos, fruity pebbly French toast and more. The restaurant also serves dinner with contemporary deli dishes along with a grab-and-go featuring a build your own boxed lunch and dinner option.
 
Blue Ribbon Sushi Bar & Grill recently made its debut inside Red Rock Resort. Bruce and Eric Bromberg, brothers, chefs and co-founders of Blue Ribbon Restaurants, marks the long-anticipated return of Blue Ribbon Sushi with an all-new Japanese-style restaurant and bar featuring an indoor and outdoor dining experience complete with a traditional 12-seat walnut sushi bar, a roofed cocktail bar with patio seating and a festive outdoor beer garden known as a Kanpai Garden. Led by Executive Chef Fernando Sposato and Executive Sushi Chef Setsuji Mitsui, guests are treated to some of the well-known Blue Ribbon classics.
 
Sadelle’s, the popular vintage-style New York City restaurant and bakery opened at Bellagio Resort & Casino this past December. The all-day dining concept transforms from a breakfast-centric haven to a power lunch hotspot to a relaxing dinner locale - all while delivering distinct culinary experiences with each transition.
 
The Factory Kitchen at The Venetian Resort and is the product of a long-standing friendship between Restaurateur Matteo Ferdinandi and Chef Angelo Auriana. The Italian restaurant prepares dishes using fresh, season and locally sourced ingredients for an approachable menu that highlights the simplicity of traditional recipes. Also open at Venetian Las Vegas is Mott 32, a restaurant that represents modern Hong Kong as well as a new chapter of Chinese dining. 
 
Park MGM has opened a plethora of new restaurants and bars including La La Noodle. The restaurant serves authentic Chinese, Vietnamese and Thai cuisine. On the Record at Park MGM debuted New Year’s Eve weekend of 2018. From Houston Hospitality, the trendsetting design-obsessed brothers bring their signature modern speakeasy atmosphere to Las Vegas. The Record Parlor is an intimate hideaway and an experience all its own. With a small bar and three banquette seating areas, the Record Parlor accommodates 20-25 guests. The warm and inviting enclave pays homage to the Houston's love of music nostalgia and vinyl, with iconic album covers displayed. Roy Choi opened his first restaurant in Las Vegas this December, called Best Friend. The restaurant offers immersive spaces that feel comfortable and familiar and offers an eclectic environment for people to open their minds to the new and extraordinary.
 
NoMad Las Vegas opened its doors on Oct. 12 bringing the refinement of a European home to Park MGM. Chef Daniel Humm and restaurateur Will Guidara, the visionaries behind the world’s best restaurant, Eleven Madison Park also made their Vegas debut with NoMad Restaurant in this resort.
 
108 Eats by James Trees opened at The STRAT Hotel, Casino and Skypod. The scenic eatery is located on the 108th level of the Tower’s Observation Deck and offers various treats at $3. The scenic eatery offers fresh panini’s, inventive ice creams and house-made treats. 
 
Cipriani, the internationally celebrated four-generation hospitality brand continues its global growth with Cipriani Las Vegas at Wynn Las Vegas. The menu includes signature classics such as carpaccio alla Cipriani, baked tagliolini with ham, and the decadent vanilla meringue. Also, recently open at Wynn Las Vegas is Urth Caffé. The café offers organic heirloom coffees, and inspired items for the whole spectrum of healthy living – from vegan, and gluten-free to pure decadence. This new location is the first U.S. expansion outside of California for the Los Angeles-based brand.
 
CATCH LAS VEGAS, the go-to dining destination for celebrities from Hollywood to New York City, officially made its mark on the Las Vegas Strip at ARIA Resort & Casino. The restaurant brings epic renditions of opulent seafood, sushi and steak. The dining experience offers something with seamless transitions and an elevated, interactive atmosphere from early evening to prime-time dinner, late night and special events. 
 
Red Plate a luxurious new traditional Chinese concept recently opened The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas. The restaurant is led by Chef Yip Cheung, an esteemed expert in multi-regional Chinse cuisine. Red Plate is located on the third level of The Cosmopolitan’s Boulevard Tower adjacent to Scarpetta and Beauty & Essex. 
 
CASBAR Lounge is now open at SLS Las Vegas. Elegantly appointed, the stylish 24-hour lounge features craft cocktails and offers an elevated experience capable of accommodating an array of tastes and needs.
 
MGM Grand’s brand new Ambra Italian Kitchen + Bar features the very best of what Italy has to offer with freshly made pastas, creative dishes made to share and artisanal cocktails. The warm, golden restaurant contains a hidden gem called “Privata”, an intimate speakeasy with its own historically inspired drink menu.
 
 
Notable Restaurants
 
Award-winning New York Burger Joint, Black Tap opened at Venetian Las Vegas. The restaurant is located adjacent to the Venetian Poker room and features patio dining overlooking the scenic outdoor canals. The menu features Black Tap’s craft burgers including the All-American burger, the Greg Norman burger and their famous shakes including the original cotton candy strawberry shake with a blue and pink pear chocolate rim, a pink lollipop, rock candy, whipped cream and cotton candy.
 
Park MGM features a collection of new restaurants including, Primrose. The restaurant features French style fare and garden inspired cocktails. Chef Bryce Shuman teamed up with the Sydell Group, the force behind The NoMad to open this restaurant that offers breakfast, lunch and dinner. In addition, a renowned Chicago classic, Bavette’s Steakhouse & Bar has opened. The restaurant offers a stylish departure from a traditional steakhouse and embraces French Flair without the formality. The menu offers fresh seafood towers, delicious steaks, traditional side dishes and house-made desserts.
 
Silverton Casino Hotel recently opened Su Casa. The eatery, nestled in Mi Casa Grill and Catina, merges trendy coastal Asian cuisine with bold culinary traditions of Mexico for a coast-to-coast culinary adventure.
 
Partage comes to Las Vegas from the owners of Eatt Gourmet Bistro and offers a modern French dining experience. Located off the Vegas Strip on Spring Mountain Boulevard, the restaurant offers five, seven or nine course menus that are meant to be shared.
 
Greek Sneek opened at MGM Grand Las Vegas and offers a lively restaurant and bar serving fresh, authentic Greek and Mediterranean cuisine and cocktails. The restaurant is part of the Morton Group family of restaurants that include La Cave Wine and Food Hideaway, La Comida and MB Steak.
 
The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas is thrilled to welcome a dynamic new culinary destination known as Block 16 Urban Eatery & Bar. Block 16 Urban Eatery & Bar showcases a curated selection of undeniably unique concepts, uniting the most sought-after chefs and restaurants handpicked from foodie capitals across the country. Six individual food and beverage outposts live within the urban space, offering curious eaters and ambitious restauranteurs a place to celebrate their shared passion for innovative food and drink. The Palazzo Las Vegas introduces Electra Cocktail Club. A collision of energy and style, Electra embodies a dynamic scene where cocktail creations challenge the limits of tradition in an atmosphere that exudes an escapist, kinetic vibe. Electra completes The Venetian Cocktail Collective, comprised of the sophisticated Dorsey, The romantic Rosina and now the inventive Electra. The Collective represents the evolution of nightlife in Las Vegas. 
 
As part of a $192 million property-wide modernization, Palace Station unveiled its all-new Asian-inspired restaurant, Boathouse Asian Eatery. Created by dynamic brother and sister team Cat and Tu Do together with their partner Hans Mogensen from Northern California, the restaurant joins the recently opened next generation Feast Buffet on the new casino floor. Boathouse Asian Eatery serves up lunch and dinner and features authentic Asian cuisine with an innovative dining experience. 
 
Wolfgang Puck launched the new, reimagined Spago at Bellagio Resort & Casino in June 2018. The legendary flagship restaurant offers an elevated experience, featuring his signature dishes as well as an open-air patio with prime views of the iconic Fountains of Bellagio.
 
MGM Grand partnered with Lai Sun Dining to open China Tang Las Vegas. The restaurant serves Cantonese cuisine heavily influenced by provincial dishes from Sichuan, Shanghai and Beijing. Meanwhile, the cocktail menu is inspired by Pre-Opium War Era China and Colonial Era China and draws inspiration from popular destinations and iconic characters in Chinese culture.
 
Sparrow + Wolf is a new restaurant from Chef Brian Howard. Opened in Chinatown area of Las Vegas, this restaurant features American Cuisine. Plates are meant to be shared and there are special dishes that are featured on a rotating basis.
 
Tropicana Las Vegas opened its highly anticipated restaurant in partnership with Celebrity Chef Robert Irvine – Robert Irvine’s Public House. The renowned chef and TV personality celebrated opening day in true Robert Irvine fashion by descending upon Las Vegas Boulevard with a three-vehicle military-inspired convoy. Chef Irvine topped himself by making his grand entrance by arriving via helicopter, where he landed on the Northeast entrance of the iconic property, just off the famed Las Vegas Strip.
 
CHICA at The Venetian Las Vegas made its debut in spring 2017 delivering the robust and vibrant flavors of Latin-influenced Cuisine combined with an eclectic wine and mixology program. Top Chef Masters’ Chef Lorena Garcia leads the restaurant bringing her extensive culinary education in diverse, Latin American cuisine.
 
ZUMA, a modern Japanese cuisine restaurant is located at The Cosmopolitan Las Vegas. The restaurant offers shared dishes from a sushi counter, main kitchen and a robata grill. Zuma is the creation of chef and co-founder Rainer Becker.
 
The first Las Vegas Momofuku location of chef David Chang’s innovative restaurant is at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas. The 200-seat restaurant serves Fuku chicken sandwiches, fried chicken with caviar and bossam and a soup selection that is Korean inspired.
 
Fans of Milk Bar can find the first Las Vegas location at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas. Established by award-winning chef and owner Christina Tosi, Milk Bar focuses on putting a playful spin on familiar home-style desserts. The menu highlights delectable desserts, including exclusive menu items only available in Las Vegas.
 
Masaharu Morimoto, renowned Japanese chef and star of Food Network’s “Iron Chef America,” brought his famous restaurant, Morimoto Las Vegas to MGM Grand. The contemporary Japanese restaurant features signature sushi creations and cocktail offerings, including exclusive selections made specifically for the Las Vegas location. 
 
The Dorsey, located at The Venetian Las Vegas, is the ultimate destination for cocktail enthusiasts to experience innovative craft cocktails served in a comfortable, upbeat atmosphere. The 4,500-square-foot space features rich materials and incorporates a lustrous modern fireplace as the focal point. The inventive cocktail menu was designed by award-winning barman Sam Ross of New York City’s Attaboy Fame.
 
At the Grand Bazaar Shops at Bally’s Las Vegas, Ramen-Ya sister restaurant to Katana-Ya, the MICHELIN-recommended noodle shop out of San Francisco is open serving its famed Gyoza, tempura, sushi and ramen. Also open at the Grand Bazaar Shops is Chicago-style pizza restaurant, Giordano’s. The restaurant features its famous, stuffed deep dish pizza along with thin and extra-thin crust pizzas as well as hand-crafted Italian inspired foods including salads, pastas and sandwiches. The restaurant offers lunch, dinner and carry out.
 
Taco Bell opened their flagship restaurant Taco Bell Cantina in the heart of the Strip. The two-story restaurant features an outdoor patio, digital displays and unique offerings only available in Las Vegas. The restaurant also serves alcohol including beer and twisted freezes.
 
Once at Venetian Las Vegas is a one-of-a-kind Peruvian Nikkei dining experience from one of Los Angeles’ most acclaimed chefs, Ricardo Zarate. Born in Lima, Zarate’s name is synonymous with indigenous South American flavors. Immaculately executed and fused with his inherent passion, drive and culinary ingenuity.
 
Masso Osteria at Red Rock Resort and casino is the creation of author and restaurateur Scott Contant. The restaurant is inspired by the rocky desert landscape that surrounds Summerlin. The menu features house made pastas, antipasti and savory wood-fire sides.
 
Downtown welcomed Esther’s Kitchen to the neighborhood, the restaurant showcases a menu of seasonal Italian soul food. It is the creation of Las Vegas Native and Culinary Institute of America graduate James Trees. He worked at Aqua, Bradley Ogden, Alex and Alize before spending a decade in California, New York, Florida and elsewhere.
 
Eggslut at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas was created by Alvin Cailan out of Los Angeles. The menu is a balance of comfort and innovation, celebrating food that appeals to all palates. Signature dishes include; a bacon, egg & cheese sandwich; The Slut, a coddled egg on top of smooth potato puree, cooked in a glass jar topped with gray salt chives and served with slices of baguette; and a Gaucho Sandwich which includes seared Wagyu tri-tip steak, chimichurri, red onions and seasoned arugula topped with an over-medium egg in a warm brioche bun.
 
Wahlburgers, the popular fast casual burger restaurant founded by brothers Mark, Donnie and Paul Wahlberg, is now open inside the Grand Bazaar Shops at Bally’s Las Vegas. Created by Executive Chef Paul Wahlberg, the chef-inspired menu features an emphasis on fresh, high-quality, yet simple food that highlights some of his family’s favorites.
 
New York’s Beauty & Essex is located at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas. The restaurant is a partnership between TAO Group and acclaimed chef personality and restaurateur Chris Santos. Signature dishes include grilled cheese smoked bacon and tomato soup dumplings, elote style scallops, with charred cord salad, chipotle, lime and cilantro and roasted bone marrow, with roja-braised shallot marmalade.
 
Guy Fieri brings his second restaurant to Las Vegas with El Burro Borracho at Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino. Guests can enjoy authentically prepared Mexican dishes with upscale touches and signature flair. The menu features crispy Mahi Mahi juan tacos, Acapulco gold salad, lava rock shrimp and much more.
 
Internationally renowned restaurant MR CHOW is located at Caesars Palace and features signature dishes such as chicken satay, green prawns, hand-made pulled noodles and Beijing duck. Dishes are served family-style, built on the idea that all guests are to share in the MR CHOW experience in food and ambiance.
 
Giada De Laurentiis’ first restaurant, GIADA, at The Cromwell is located on the second story of The Cromwell. The cornerstone of the boutique hotel and casino, GIADA boasts priceless views, signature dishes and a warm and inviting atmosphere, all a reflection of De Laurentiis’ vision. The restaurant encompasses three dining experiences – a dining room, a lounge and a terrace. The menu consists of Italian cuisine with refreshing, Californian influences; guests can enjoy the restaurant for breakfast, lunch, brunch and dinner.
 
Giada De Laurentiis opened her second restaurant, Pronto by Giada at Caesars Palace. The restaurant takes the space of Payard Patisserie & Bistro and offers her signature Italian fare with California influences in a fast, casual format.

Historically, major hotel-casinos featured "gourmet rooms" in order to cater to high rollers' tastes. Know All-You-Can-Eat
In the early ’40s, the first buffet opened at the original El Rancho Vegas Hotel, the Las Vegas Strip’s first hotel. Beldon Katleman, El Rancho’s owner, initiated the all-you-can-eat-for-a-dollar "Midnight Chuck Wagon Buffet” in an effort to keep patrons on the property during late-night hours. His idea of treating guests to an elaborate array of food for a small price was copied again and again and as a result, the Las Vegas buffet has earned its place in the city's history.
 
Buffets are still popular in Las Vegas, and several properties are taking their buffet experiences to the next level by offering unique and exclusive experiences. Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, the average buffet features about 45 food selections per meal including salads, fruits, roast beef, baked ham, roast turkey, vegetables and a variety of desserts.
 
Ranked the #1 Las Vegas buffet by USA Today, and called "the standard against which all Las Vegas buffets are judged” by Thrillist, Bacchanal Buffet completely reinvented the traditional buffet in 2012, with modern food presentations and an upscale setting. Approximately 15 daily chef's specials are added to the menu, and they change depending on products, season and the chef's whims.
Bacchanal Buffet's team of specialized chefs oversees the preparation of the majority of the food in front of the guests while cohesively working to present nine distinct restaurants in one location.
 
The Buffet at Wynn Las Vegas elevates the traditional buffet with additional unique dishes, a more intimate atmosphere and state-of-the-art technology in both the kitchen and dining room. Caesars Entertainment’s family of Las Vegas resorts offers guests all-day, unlimited access to dine in six resort buffet restaurants with the Buffet of Buffets pass. Guests may purchase a 24-hour buffet pass from any participating buffet’s cashier stations for use at Paradise Garden Buffet at Flamingo, Flavors, The Buffet at Harrah’s Las Vegas, Le Village Buffet at Paris Las Vegas, Spice Market Buffet at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino and Carnival World Buffet & Seafood Buffet at Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino.
 
The recent trend in buffet dining in Las Vegas is the gourmet buffet, led by Wicked Spoon at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas. Opening with the property in 2009, the buffet shocked the dining scene with individually plated gourmet items at every station.
 
Raising the bar in buffet dining, Bellagio Buffet introduced the first Chef’s Table within a buffet. This unique V.I.P. table experience includes a skilled chef team that pampers guests from beginning to end, preparing the finest culinary dishes tableside. Upon arrival to Bellagio Buffet, guests bypass the main line and go to the front entrance of the restaurant where they are greeted and escorted to the Chef’s Table. Bellagio Buffet chefs welcome the group as they are seated and describe the assorted seasonal fruits, varieties of fresh house-baked breads and selections of canapés displayed on the luxurious table. Following, the chefs review a specialty menu, created with care using the finest seasonal products available. The menu may be adjusted based on guests’ preferences and dietary restrictions and includes a variety of exquisite culinary selections such as artisanal cheeses, charcuterie and caviar; live-action salad creations with fresh dressings, vegetables and sides; premium meat carvings such as lamb and prime rib; and a house-made chocolate fondue presentation for dipping fresh fruit, brownies and marshmallows.
 
Palms Casino Resort’s A.Y.C.E. buffet stands for “All-You-Can-Eat,” the restaurant offers a diverse menu with made from scratch recipes. Serving up breakfast, lunch, dinner and a Bottomless Mimosa Sunday brunch.
 
Tropicana Las Vegas opened Savor, the Buffet, the buffet allows guests to feast on world-class fare featuring mouthwatering spread of signature and eclectic dishes. It has up to four live action stations and offers several made-to-order and create-your-own stations.

A rebirth of the social club, Rose.Rabbit.Lie at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas is a modern twist on clubs of the night – a truly communal venue that blurs the lines between restaurant, bar, club and entertainment to create a modern supper club.
 
Dining and entertainment go hand-in-hand at several locations throughout southern Nevada. Dinner theater options include the “Tournament of Kings” at Excalibur where guests are transported to the feasts of the Renaissance while watching a knightly battle.
 
Dave & Buster’s fans can now play their favorite games at Downtown Summerlin. This location hosts 180 games, a menu boasting casual American Fare and a delicious cocktail menu. Menu items include, Pepperoni Pretzel Pull-Apart, Angry Orchard BBQ chicken and bacon wrapped shrimp with lobster sauce & fire-grilled sirloin.
 
Themed Restaurants
Las Vegas also boasts a bevy of themed restaurants. Hofbräuhaus Las Vegas, is an authentic replica of the Munich Hofbräuhaus. The restaurant features German/Bavarian cuisine, imported Bavarian beer, meat and sausage produced exclusively for Hofbräuhaus Las Vegas and Bavarian pretzels imported directly from Munich.
 
Planet Hollywood serves up the best Hollywood fare inside the Forum Shops. Parrotheads can get their “Cheeseburger in Paradise” at Jimmy Buffet’s Margaritaville at the Flamingo Las Vegas and the Harley-Davidson Café serves up chow for Hog aficionados.
 
Vince Neil’s Tatuado Eat-Drink-Party is located at Circus Circus. The menu features signature burgers, burritos and Rockin’ Nachos sure to tempt taste buds. The venue showcases iconic imagery along with Neil’s most prized possessions including gold and platinum records from Mötley Crüe.
 
Fans of Forrest Gump can find Bubba Gump Shrimp CO. on the Las Vegas Strip at Harmon Corner. The menu features favorites for the entire family as well as a gluten free menu. Another family friendly destination next door to Bubba Gump Shrimp CO is the Rainforest Café. The restaurant features animatronic animals, thunderstorms and a playful menu featuring pastas, burgers, steaks and seafood.
 
Cooking Classes
Numerous restaurants in Las Vegas now offer cooking classes, giving guests a chance to learn from world-class chefs. Wynn Las Vegas offers one-of-a-kind behind the scenes workshops lead by master chefs, sommeliers, bakers and artisans.
 
Personal cooking classes are also available at Caesars Palace at Restaurant Guy Savoy.  In this hands-on class, guests learn to cook an appetizer and an entrée from award-winning Restaurant Guy Savoy's executive chef, Nicolas Costagliola, in the kitchen alongside the chef team as they are prepare for dinner service. Are you fluent in Giada? Get ready to say spa-geh-tee, rah-veeoh-lee, and more. Guests can spice up their Vegas experience with insider tips from the executive and pastry chefs at GIADA at The Cromwell. This exclusive demonstration will cover how to prepare a four-course meal from cocktails to desserts, featuring signature dishes by celebrity chef Giada De Laurentiis. There’s no better party trick than learning how to flair bartend. Guests are welcome to join the fun at Bird Bar at the Flamingo Las Vegas and learn three slick moves to show off at their next get-together. Guests will also get to see the professionals and their flashy flair moves and, more importantly, sip on an expertly crafted cocktail (priced at $35 per person).
 
Looking to shake things up? Look no further. Guests are invited to learn how to make the perfect party drinks with the expert bar staff at Bound at The Cromwell. In this intimate workshop, guests will create four of the bar’s signature cocktails including The Spicy 50. This sweet and spicy cocktail will wow guests with the perfect blend of Stoli Vanilla vodka, elderflower syrup, fresh lime juice, honey syrup and chili pepper. All materials are provided. Just show up ready for drinks, (priced at $68 per person).
 
In addition to classes on the Strip, Las Vegas is also home to a one-of-a-kind pastry school. The hands-on experience pairs students with a world champion pastry chef to create colorful, edible, life-size pastry or chocolate art. The School of Pastry Design is the creation of celebrity chef and TV culinary artist Chris Hanmer, the youngest world pastry team champion ever, and one of the few such champions to come from the United States.
