A groundbreaking was held on Thursday, September 27, at the future MSG Sphere at the Venetian. The project is a joint venture by The Madison Square Garden Company and Las Vegas Sands. Present were dignitaries including Nevada Governor Brian Sandoval, Jim Dolan, executive chairman and CEO of the Madison Square Garden Company, and Sheldon Adelson, chairman and CEO of the Las Vegas Sands Corporation. MSG Sphere at The Venetian will be located on Sands Avenue between Manhattan Street and Koval Lane. A more than 1,100-foot-long pedestrian bridge will connect the new venue to Las Vegas Sands’ Venetian and Palazzo complex, the largest resort under one roof in North America, which welcomes tens of millions of people each year. Speaking at the event, Nevada Governor Brian Sandoval talked about the economic impact the MSG Sphere will have on Las Vegas and all of Nevada. September 27, 2018.
