The Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority (LVCVA) turned the "Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas" sign green in partnership with Tourism Ireland’s "Global Greening Initiative," which coincides with St. Patrick’s Day. This is the sixth year Las Vegas has participated in the global event. Local dignitaries as well as bagpipes and Irish dancers gathered at the Welcome sign to celebrate the event.
