Backstreet Boys Announce Headlining Residency at Planet Hollywood
The best-selling boy band of all time, with over 130 million albums sold worldwide, is coming to the Las Vegas Strip. The pop juggernaut Backstreet Boys announced they will begin an exclusive Las Vegas headlining residency show, “Backstreet Boys: Larger Than Life,” inside The AXIS at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino beginning Wednesday, March 1, 2017. The show, promoted by Live Nation and Caesars Entertainment, will further cement Las Vegas as the entertainment capital of the world. The Final Presidential Debate of the 2016 Election Comes to Las Vegas
The eyes of the nation – and many around the world – will be on Las Vegas Oct. 19 for the final presidential debate of 2016.  This event marks the first time Las Vegas will host a presidential debate and the first time a destination has partnered with a university for the opportunity. Candidates will tackle issues inside UNLV’s Thomas & Mack Center that could decide the election. Stevie Nicks Announced as First Performer at New Park Theater
Rock ‘n’ Roll legend and singer-songwriter Stevie Nicks will be the first artist to perform at the new Park Theater at Monte Carlo Resort and Casino when it opens its doors S Dec. 17. Nicks, joined by special guests The Pretenders, is scheduled to take the stage at 8 p.m. The multi-platinum selling artist is the first of many of the world’s premier music talents who will be part of Park Theater’s opening lineup. The Ice Rink Returns to The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas

McCarran International Airport Unveils New Vegas-Themed Art
Travelers arriving at McCarran International Airport’s Terminal 1 will now enjoy a very “Vegas” welcome thanks to a unique new art piece. The intricate mosaic made of Terrazzo flooring material is located in the heart of Terminal 1’s Baggage Claim area and was created by award-winning designer and native Nevadan Randy Heil. Laid-out as a 40-foot-diameter circle with a border reminiscent of a poker chip, Heil was inspired by the iconic landmarks that have defined the Las Vegas skyline both past and present. Charlie Palmer Steak Las Vegas Completes Major Renovation
Chef Charlie Palmer—arriving in Vegas as one of the original pioneers of the dining scene in 1999—announced the completed transformation of Charlie Palmer Steak Las Vegas. Seventeen years after opening its doors in the Four Seasons Hotel, the steakhouse reveals a renovated interior and facade, as well as a new Executive Chef and Pastry Chef, along with two Master Sommeliers leading a renewed wine program. Chef Palmer and local Innovatino designer Nancy Paolino collaborated on the multi-room interior changes, resulting in a progressive design inspired by Nevada’s micro-landscapes. Thomas & Mack Center Debuts Strip View Pavilion
The Thomas & Mack Center recently unveiled the new modernized venue. One of the more noticeable embellishments is the 35,000-square-foot addition of the Strip View Pavilion. The Strip View Pavilion is a multi-purpose event space that can be used during the basketball season for UNLV Athletics, private events, meeting space and expanding current events. It will provide an additional 9,200 square feet of event space and 2,500 square feet of patio space that will overlook the Las Vegas Strip. Other renovations at the center include upgrades to the entrance allowing for better accessibility, and a new state-of-the-art sound system. Caesars Entertainment Launches Hotel Booking Service on WeChat
Continuing its longstanding relationship with the leading social communication app WeChat, Caesars Entertainment launched a hotel booking function on the WeChat platform, becoming the first U.S. company of its kind to market its resorts to Chinese tourists through China’s most popular social app. The first phase of WeChat booking began Sept. 15, connecting nearly 24,000 rooms across the nine Caesars Entertainment affiliated resorts in Las Vegas to Caesars Entertainment’s official account on WeChat. Chinese users can explore these luxurious accommodations and, for the first time, book their U.S. hotel room without an intermediary like an online travel agent or tour operator. Las Vegas Natural History Museum to Open Hands-On Laboratory
The Las Vegas Natural History Museum is converting a 1,200 square-foot space into a working laboratory that will have three objectives; to serve as a paleontological and archaeological prep lab for college students, a research facility for science professionals and a live exhibit for Museum visitors of all ages. The Lab, the only one of its kind in Nevada, will align with the Museum’s mission to inspire, through educational exhibits and programs, a better understanding and appreciation of the natural world.
