Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority Wins Best Convention and Visitors Bureau for 24th Time

Release Date: 09 Sep 2016
LAS VEGAS -- The Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority (LVCVA) has been named the best Convention & Visitors Bureau (CVB) by Successful Meetings Magazine after receiving the publication’s 2016 Pinnacle Award. This announcement marks the 24th time the LVCVA has been recognized for this honor.

According to Successful Meetings, the LVCVA was named one of the best CVBs in the country for having “excelled in professionalism and dedication in their service to meeting professionals.”  Successful Meetings readers made selections based on professionalism of staff, support on hotel and site inspections, assistance with ground transportation planning, guidance on local attractions and liaison relationships with local vendors and services.

In addition to the LVCVA, multiple Las Vegas properties were also recognized among this year’s awards. Aria Resort and Casino, Bellagio, The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas, The Cromwell Las Vegas, Delano Las Vegas, Mandalay Bay, MGM Grand Las Vegas, The Mirage Resort and Casino, New York-New York Hotel & Casino, Tropicana Las Vegas, The Venetian Resort Hotel Casino/The Palazzo, and Wynn Las Vegas/Encore, were also recognized in a variety of categories.

Recognition from industry publications such as Successful Meetings further cement Las Vegas as the ideal destination for meetings and conventions, with some of the biggest trade shows in the industry, including CES, which experienced a record-breaking year in 2016.

The Successful Meetings Magazine Pinnacle Awards are the mark of excellence for meeting destinations, hotels and conference centers. During its 32-year history, the distinction has come to be regarded as the most reliable and prestigious sign of excellence among meeting professionals and travel suppliers.

Looking ahead, the LVCVA is working to further solidify its position as the No. 1 CVB and trade show destination by investing in the Las Vegas Convention Center District. The project will expand the convention center by 1.4 million square feet, including 600,000 square feet of additional exhibit space.
