Vegas-Bound WestJet Guests Hit The Jackpot
What do you get when you combine Vegas-bound WestJet guests with a stunning acrobatic display, a world-class DJ, a private airplane hangar, showgirls and VIP access to the best of the city? The “Ultimate Vegas Upgrade,” an action-filled experience delivered recently to unsuspecting guests on board WestJet flight 1116 from Toronto to Las Vegas.

Through relationships with Vegas resorts, guests were entertained by some of the city’s top talent, including Zarkana by Cirque du Soleil at ARIA Resort & Casino, Terry Fator at The Mirage Hotel & Casino, Jabbawockeez at MGM Grand Las Vegas, Carrot Top at Luxor Hotel & Casino and DJ Mark Stylz from Ghostbar Dayclub and Ditch Fridays at Palms Casino Resort. Guests indulged in over-the-top food offerings from Susan Feniger, chef and owner of Border Grill with locations at Mandalay Bay Hotel & Casino and The Forum Shops at Caesars while they sipped on exquisite cocktails topped with Mionetto Prosecco created by mixologist Mariena Mercer from The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas.
A few special groups of guests received upgraded trips to include some of the destination’s best and most luxurious experiences. Caesars Palace Las Vegas and Hakkasan Group provided a lavish dinner at Top Chef finalist Brian Malarkey’s Searsucker followed by a private entry and VIP table with bottle service at OMNIA Nightclub. One lucky couple was upgraded to an elegant Lago Suite at The Palazzo Las Vegas, where they were greeted with a champagne toast. Another group of guests were treated to a nighttime helicopter tour of the Las Vegas Strip provided by Maverick Helicopters and a lush spa experience at Canyon Ranch Spaclub at The Venetian Las Vegas.
All guests on the WestJet flight were gifted three-day passes to the Life is Beautiful Music & Art Festival in Downtown Las Vegas, a ticket to ride The High Roller at The LINQ and ticket to ride the SlotZilla zipline at Fremont Street Experience. Other lucky guests received extra surprises, including tickets to five different Cirque du Soleil shows, tickets to Boyz II Men at The Mirage Hotel & Casino, shopping gift cards to The Forum Shops at Caesars, dinner at PBR Rock Bar & Grill at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino, tickets to VEGAS! WestJet flies more guests to Las Vegas than any other international carrier operating at McCarran International Airport, bringing in nearly one-third of all international passengers traveling to the destination. The airline operates more than 80 flights per week from nine Canadian cities, including Victoria, Vancouver, Edmonton, Calgary, Saskatoon, Regina, Winnipeg, Toronto and Montreal. On October 29, WestJet will launch twice-weekly service to Las Vegas from Abbotsford.
