Updated: Rock 'n' Roll Marathon 40K Runners Strong in Las Vegas

LAS VEGAS -- More than 40,000 runners from all 50 states and 73 countries participated in the GEICO Rock ‘n’ Roll Las Vegas Marathon & ½ Marathon Nov. 11-12, 2017. The Goo Goo Dolls headlined the Toyota Rock ‘n’ Roll Concert Series, while local bands performed live music along the Las Vegas Boulevard route.

Gilles Rubio (France) finished first in the men's marathon with a time of 2:38:04, while Marisa Hird (USA) took first place in the women's race with a time of 2:55:19.

As part of the annual charitible component of the event, marathon organizers offered "Vegas Strong" T-shirts for sale with proceeds benefitting the Las Vegas Victims Fund, and invited participants, family members and friends to designate the fund as the recipient of race-related fundraising effforts.
