LAS VEGASThe digital marquees along the iconic Las Vegas Strip and throughout the Las Vegas Valley are displaying a message honoring the city’s strength, unity and resiliency since the tragic events of October 1, 2017. The tribute started Sunday, Sept. 30 at 11:59 PM PST and will run for the next 24-hours.
The marquee signs are showing an image of the Strip with verbiage stating, “One Year Braver; One Year Closer; One Year Kinder; One Year Prouder; One Year Stronger. #VegasStronger”. In addition, all marquees on the Las Vegas Strip and the famous Welcome to Las Vegas sign will go dark at 10:01PM for three minutes of remembrance and quiet reflection.

On Sunday evening at an interfaith service at the Guardian Angel Cathedral, Deacon Tom Roberts, president and chief executive office of Catholic Charities of Southern Nevada shared the following powerful message:
“The thoughts and prayers of all of Las Vegas continue to go out to the victims and their families. The last year has been one of healing and resilience and Las Vegas stands stronger today than it ever has before. We are grateful beyond words to our dedicated and selfless members of law enforcement, first responders and everyday heroes who best represent what it means to be a member of the Las Vegas community.”
